NEIL THOMSON IN PRACTICE

Neil Thomson grew up in Sri Lanka and Kent, obtained a degree in Geography at King’s College and the London School of Economics, London University, followed by a postgraduate diploma in Landscape Architecture at Edinburgh University.

He worked for various firms of architects both in the UK and in the Middle East before starting his own landscape architectural practice in partnership with Claire Glasspoole in 1979, based in London. He has been a sole practitioner since 1998.

Neil has gained wide International and British experience offering a personal and highly skilled environmental planning and landscape design consultancy service. He has worked on a wide range of projects in both the public and private sectors. Projects range from larger scale environmental assessment studies, masterplanning for larger scale new development, to the detailed design of commercial schemes and more intimate private gardens and estates.

Neil Thomson is directly involved in the design and management of all projects. He seeks to act in his clients’ best interests, and is committed to good design and a proper awareness of, and sympathy for, environmental matters. Neil Thomson is accustomed to working in consultant teams on multi-disciplinary projects.
